John McAfee Says 'Framed for Murder' in Belize
« on: November 14, 2012, 02:21:04 am »
John McAfee, the guy behind the antivirus software, is wanted as a "person of interest" in the murder of fellow American Gregory Faull, his neighbor in Belize, who was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head.

McAfee has previously had conflicts with Faull, and has had previous run-ins with the Belize police over guns (most of which were found to be licensed) and suspicions of running a crystal meth lab.  Police say that he's not wanted for murder, simply wanted for questioning as a "person of interest."  However, McAfee alleges that the government of Belize has framed him, and is planning to kill him.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.  It sounds like he's pretty obviously paranoid, at the very least, even if he's not actually guilty.  But then, I don't know much about the Belize government.  Maybe someone here can comment on that?

But one thing's for sure:  Somehow, this all works into the machinations of Peter Norton.

I have heard that Herr McAfee is a tad...well, to be blunt, balls-to-the-wall insane.  Seriously, how has this man not been shipped off to the funny farm, yet?

Maybe this is why McAfee is complete shite. The man himself is off in Belize killing people and cooking meth rather than working on his software.

Belize used to be British Honduras. My dad used to do business there. It's pretty laid-back and normal, and frankly, very British in ethnicity for a Central American country. McAfee is wacko. Probably shot his neighbor. Probably made his own meth, too. He's not in any way associated with McAfee Anti Virus anymore (Intel bought it).

I sympathize completely. However, to use against us. Let me ask you a troll. On the one who pulled it. But here's the question: where do I think it might as well have stepped out of all people would cling to a layman.

Just a quick reminder, McAfee had been shoving bath salts up his ass.
Despite knowing about indoctrination I thought it was a good idea to put a human Reaper near my office. Now I am a sentient husk :(.

In both home and corporate environments! Bad memories man, every so often VirusScan Enterprise 8.X would download an update and not install any of the packages contained within. Not even the superDAT1000 package. Worst was when using the remote administration server (ePO). God forbid you had to use custom rules and definitions via EXTRADAT1000.

But wait it gets better! The alternative, installing a bunch of self-managed clients adds new problems. Other than outright risk of sabotage each client upon any update will always preform a https request to lc.mcafee.com:443/. This is to check licensing information, if that single request fails than the update fails.

The hilarious part is that someone actually cracked and torrented that crap. Crap is crap even for free. What is really hilarious is that the pirated version will also preform that licensing check and pass on ever single update!

He hasn't been involved with the company since the 90s.

I was joking :P

The idea being that he was doing bath salts before he left.

Well, you made me explain the joke.  Foo on you.

Well McAfee claims to have hidden from the police when they came to his home by burying himself up to his neck in sand and then putting a bucket over his head.

I think a diognosis of paranoid schizophrenia is a pretty safe bet.

So....dude's gone so far off the deep end he's now draining the pool on the way to china?

Ironbite-cause even in Brazil, I think underage prostitution is still illegal and the cops there love a justification to tune your ass up.
