My opinion on this? Nic probably saw the title, looked at the script, and started laughing his ass off.  It's a paycheck movie where even he knows he gets to act like a crazy fucker.

Heh.

I remember seeing the original movie.  And at the time I thought it was a fantastic thing.

Now?  I can't even look at a clip of the movie without feeling sick to my stomach.

He agreed to do the movie "Drive angry" purely because the script said his character has his eyes shot out in a scene and he had wanted to do such a scene in his previous movie but had been refused.

Honestly, I think he is a good actor but it is obvious that he does not care wether a movie would he stars in is good or not, he just wants to have fun. (And I suppose he makes a decent living as well with those contracts.)

And that makes for some of the best movies sometimes.  It's obvious when an actor enjoys what they do.  Cage does goofy shit.  Trejo does schlock.  Connery does serious stuff.  McKellan does epic.  And fuckDAMN, do I love them for it!

It looks like they're doing a better job showing the chaos the Rapture would cause than the book did, but I wonder how they're going to handle the scintillating details of the characters' travel logistics?

He doesn't care about what roles he gets nowadays.  Man's pretty much set for life and can just take whatever role takes his fancy.

Ironbite-course I'll always remember him best for setting his skull on fire.

I actually enjoyed National Treasure.  Haven't seen the sequel and don't plan to.
