Awesome optical illusion

I saw this on Yahoo news today.  It's a neat trick using a water stream flowing in front of a sub-woofer while it emits sound on the same specific low frequency on which the camera operates, to create the illusion that the water stream freezes in place, and with a minor variation of the frequency, even apparently flows upwards.

If only it wasn't the end of the semester... While I am not teaching this particular subject this semester it's a very nice demonstration of strobing.

@ Shano: strobing is illegal in most states.  Strobing in public can result in a jail term.
