Damn, we were all wrong.  It's George Bluth.

RIP Tony Benn (1925 - 2014)

"There is no moral difference between a stealth bomber and a suicide bomber. Both kill innocent people for political reasons."

“If we can find the money to kill people, we can find the money to help people.”

"I'm not frightened about death. I don't know why, but I just feel that at a certain moment your switch is switched off, and that's it. And you can't do anything about it."

I nominate the grandad from the werthers originals adverts.

He always had a creepy child molester vibe, so I think he would fit right in.

I'm surprised nobody's nominated him so....Optimus Prime! Seriously, who better to run a religion of peace than him?

Before you die an agonizing, chainsaw-related death, you're gonna hear about the Hate Plague!
I'm accusing you of being stupid.
I dare to be stupid.

I nominate Light Yagami. He's already head of his own religion (admittedly, as god rather than high priest, but it's still relevant experience), and he'll probably be tough on child molesters.

I nominate Jhalm, Captain of the Veiled, from Digger. Head of an organization that functions as devotees of ALL the gods, and formal to the point of using "forthwith" in a sentence. A sneaky little bastard, too. He'd fit right in!

EDIT: Aaaand my 10,000th post is about fascism, Plato, and gay sex. This is clearly a great accomplishment.

Nemesis Prime(The Alternity version who is kind of a god). He'd be the first warrior pope and would lead the Church against his foes with Run-Over as his personal weapon.

I nominate, THE SPACE POPE
I am too lost for shame
That it moves me unto mirth,
But I can vision a Hell of flame
For I have lived on Earth.

I nominate the leader of the Third Street Saints.
What I used to think was me is just a fading memory. I looked him right in the eye and said "Goodbye".
