The Book of Apocalypse/Revelation is hard to interpret. It is full of imagery and leading to various interpretations. There are different theories of the 4 horses. I will show you what interpretations are correct and which are false.
First of all, there is no pre tribulation rapture. That concept is a Protestant concept from the 1800s and was not espoused by any of the major Christian figures throughout the history of Christianity. Christians will stay on Earth until the second coming of Christ.
Second, the book of Revelation talks about the entire history of Christianity up to the second coming of Christ. The Tribulation is what Christians have been going through for Two Millennia. The Antichrist has been around since the beginning of Christianity. This is what the four horses represent.
http://www.ewtn.com/v/experts/showmessage.asp?number=294825 The Antichrist is both an individual who will reign in the end times as well as a force of Anti Christianity that has been around since the time of Christ, beginning with the Pharisees, then the false messiahs that led revolts in Judea against the Romans, Nero, the heretical sects such as Gnosticism, Marcionism, Arianism, Islam, the Protestant Reformation, Atheism etc.
Due to the fact that Islam is the fastest growing religion, it is likely that the Antichrist who will rule over Earth in the end times will be a Muslim.
The 7 trumpets and 7 plagues will be God’s punishment on those who accept the mark of the beast. Then judgement day will come, and all ghosts of the dead will have resurrected bodies and those who died recently will go to the metaphorical Lake of Fire and those already in hell will be judged and sent back to hell. The righteous will live in the new heavens and new Earth.
