Twas a day or two ago, but I found out recently that my uncle Reggie...actually isn't a Christian, he's a deist. An honest, dyed-in-the-wool deist. And, the best part? He's surprisingly cool about the whole thing, about me being an atheist in a family that's pretty much all one flavor of Christian or another. Says that religion's something that ought to be a personal deal, something you keep in your heart, in your mind, and in your home, but something you don't try to force upon others or wedge into any conversation you happen to come across.
I repeat, I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER SANE MAN IN MY FAMILY. Know what that is? A breath of fresh fucking air.
