Or don't. Whichever.
Registered Republican, I vote mostly on issues since we have shitty people in Georgia to vote for.
-
No official party affiliation, but I label myself as a "progressive."
-
D-d-d-d-d-d-d-democrat.
-
I lean heavily democrat, mostly because it's the lesser of the two evils that have the only viable chances of taking an office that matters.
-
Independent, and I vote for who I think will do the best job.
Admittedly, there won't be many, if any, Repubs on the list this year.
-
Registered Democrat, though I feel both political parties are in need of some serious overhaul.
-
no official party membership but I support the New Democratic Party federally and the Green party provincially.
-
Left leaning moderate with no party affiliation, but I find myself more likely to vote Democrat.
-
Don't be stupid party.
-
I'm in Ironbite's party.
I vote for the one that makes the most sense regardless of what party it is
-
Solid left (closer to Socialist Party USA or Green Party USA) voting for Democrat. Very active on local issues and politics (need to keep them YECs off our school board).
-
No official party affiliation, but I label myself as a "progressive."
That pretty much nails my position.
-
I vote for the one that makes the most sense regardless of what party it is
I do that too. Pity all the sanity's on one side lately.
-
Since the 2010 election, I really have no idea any more. I used to be a Lib Dem supporter, but... yeah. Tories are the antagonists and Labour just seem clueless and criticising the government without offering any alternatives. On the plus side, I'll be voting for the first time this May, for London mayor. We CANNOT have Boris representing us on the world stage with the Olympics coming up. We'll be the laughing stock of the world.
-
Independent; I like some things on the left and some on the right. Though unless he royally ****'s up, Obama's got my vote in 2012.
-
No party affiliation. I tend to vote Labor for the house of reps and some minor party I like for the senate, both for state and federal.
-
My political affiliation is somewhere around the "i don't give a fuck" spectrum.
I just vote Sex Party and Greens. I really just dont care
-
Finnish Center party.
-
Left. Way left. According to the political compass we did on the old boards, I'm the most left leaning of all the members there, and consequenly, here.
-
Upper center/left.
I voted liberal in the last federal election because the candidate was good.
-
Just left of centre with a strong liberal bias. Please read 'liberal' in its original sense - not in the alterered sense that has gained currency in the US. Living abroad, and there being no postal vote, I cannot cast my ballot any more. However, when I could, I voted strategically, using my country's system of proportional representation to get best effect from my vote.

American citizens can still vote abroad! You need to fill out all the forms you normally would as an absentee voter, plus an additional federal form (http://www.fvap.gov/).
Unless you renounce your United States citizenship, you are always a citizen of the United States of America and the state in which you reside (whichever state hosts your legal American residence).
-
Registered Independent but I'm probably going to switch over to the Green Party. I like their style :)
-
Registered Independent, have so far voted Democrat every election because the Republicans seem bent on one-upping each other for title of "most evil/ass-backward dipshit ever".
-
I vote for the one that makes the most sense regardless of what party it is
I do that too. Pity all the sanity's on one side lately.
Very. I'd like to see more choices than 1
I'd also like to have a choice between the lesser of two evils.
-
Cestlefun, I am not an American Citizen. But thanks anyway for the helpful comment.
-
Sorry I saw you referencing the US's conception of "liberal" and didn't read your last sentence.
-
Moderate liberal here. I usually vote Green Party, but I'm not registered as with a specific party.
-
I'm not a member of any party, but I would probably be described best as a "moderate socialist."
-
I identify as "liberal" and nearly always vote Democrat, but being on this board has certainly challenged this label. I am pro-authoritarian as in the opposite of libertarian. On the liberal side, I'm for LGBT equality, for universal healthcare, for progressive income tax, and pro-choice (within first trimester unless there are medical issues). On the conservative side I'm for isolationist foreign policy (although the neocons like more war, this is more Ron Paul-style conservative), for a more restricted reading of the Interstate Commerce Clause, against illegal immigration, and against anonymous sperm donation.
I'm against a lot of the nonsense on this board that is pervasive here but non-existant in actual politics, namely legalization of polygamous and incestuous marriages. I have very little sympathy for people who willfully choose to engage in certain behaviors that are contradictory to social norms, which I wholly distinguish from certain immutable traits.
-
Am Libertarian meself, although some of the Libertarians I've met recently make me question that.
-
I'm not registered to vote yet, so I can't say anything about party affiliation. Politically, I consider myself a democratic socialist and technoprogressive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technoprogressivism).
-
I started as a Green, then became NDP in the last few years, because Jack Layton was the snizznit.
Then he left us. :'(
I don't know how I am going to vote now honestly. I'm torn between Green Party and NDP.
But I am definately a socialist hippy regardless of how I vote! >:D
-
Anti-stupid. Mostly I vote Democrat. Mostly.
-
I'll just reiterate what I said on the old forums. I identify as left-libertarian, but I am too young to register to vote. If I were old enough, I would probably register as a Libertarian, but I would vote for whoever I feel is the most qualified for the job.
-
Democrat, though I haven't voted much.
-
Apathetically centre-leftish - but will try and vote for the party with the best policy on arts and culture come 2015.
-
Anti-stupid.
I forgot about that. Agreed.
-
Am Libertarian meself, although some of the Libertarians I've met recently make me question that.
Same here. Though I'm more of a Democrat who likes some of the ideas the Libertarians have.
-

Yeah, I'm in a similar position: I was a Libertarian leaning Liberal-Deomcrat*, but since the Coalition came to power I've lost a lot of faith in them.
*Apologies for the alliteration
-
Australian Greens.
-
Australian Greens.
Any truth to the rumour that if you don't know the words to all the Midnight Oil songs, youg et drummed out the party? ;)
-
Canadian NDP, because the Liberal Party is more centrist than anything.
-
American. Not registered with anyone. Consider myself a progressive, but feel cornered into voting Democrat in most elections, because the Republican options are always such big douchebags that I don’t want to vote for a “spoiler†candidate even if that’s the person I really want. Whole thing leaves a dirty taste in my mouth, really.
We really need instant-runoff voting.
-
If any of you knew what that meant, I'd tell you I'm against Peronism in all its flavours (including the Kirchnerists), think the current breed of Radicals are laughably incompetent, and vote for the socialists and Worker's Party et al. even though I think they would have no idea what to do with the Presidency, because I know they have basically zero chance to win and might do some good if they get a couple of seats in Congress.
-
I'm a registered Democrat, but I've become extremely disillusioned, and I find myself leaning more towards the Green Party or even an Inderpendent. I vote all across the board, but I mostly stay towards the left.
-
I don't affiliate myself with any particular party. I'm definitely left-leaning, however, so in practice I usually go with either the Liberal party or the NDP, depending on any number of factors.
-
Left. Way left. According to the political compass we did on the old boards, I'm the most left leaning of all the members there, and consequenly, here.
If anyone wants to see that again, I still have it saved.

Me? Leaning left. Been voting Left Alliance, Social Democratic Party, Pirate Party and once even the Communist Party on different elections.
Not a member of any, and we don't register here (as voters and so on). One just gets notification in the mail telling that there is poll/voting coming up and telling the pre-voting and voting times/places as long as one turns or already is 18 by the day the actual voting is taking place.
Which reminds me... I still have no idea who shall have my vote this January *sigh*
-
Not a member of any party either and I've usually voted for the Left Alliance or Green Party. In the coming presidential election maanantai mentioned I will probably vote for the Green Party candidate Pekka Haavisto.

Wow, you know who the candidates are AND who you'd probably vote for? Wow! (<-bit envious "wow")
I only know few who I WONT be voting for... politics is just not in my list of important things to follow ._.
-
I refuse to have a political affiliation. The political spectrum has done nothing but divide the people of America against themselves.
-
I don't have a party affiliation as I feel the two major parties are way too far to the right, and that's even when I ignore just how leftist I am with politics. I've found that the saying "reality has a liberal bias" is true, and I go with what actually works for obtaining the goals I desire; chiefly being equality.
Unfortunately, because the US is effectively a two party state for most positions in most locales (there are exceptions, but they are rare) I end up voting Democrat even though I don't want to, simply because the Republicans are just that horrendous. However, I will be changing this habit, as I can no longer justify support of some Democrats as I find their actions to be morally reprehensible. Because of this I will be writing in Steven Colbert for president, unless I am able to find someone I can find someone better who would possibly accept the position (only reason why I chose Colbert over Stewart).
-
Green Party because I don't think a 2 party system works. I hope it gets elevated along with the Libertarian Party and Socialist party.
@Viking- link to party website?
-
Co-founder of the Grumpies party. We're a small group, but we're vocal.
-
im part of the pope-wino hybrid 2000 party
-
Independent. I'm kind of inbetween on fiscal issues, and don't really agree with either side. However, I'm very liberal with social issues, i.e. pro-choice, pro gay marriage, etc.
Another part of the reason I'm an independent is because I think our current system is completely fubar. Between only 2 parties that ever get someone elected and politicians on both sides being constantly sold to lobbyists and corporations, there's really no party of the people.
-
No real affiliation, but I usually vote democrat.
I just added myself to the crowd chart (http://www.politicalcompass.org/crowdchart.php?showform=&Virtualstranger=-7.62%2C-8.26&N++De+Plume=-8.5%2C-8&Brendanrizzo=-5.75%2C-3.44&Smurfette+Principle=-9.00%2C-7.08&Damen=-9.75%2C-7.53&Nickiknack=-5.62%2C-5.49&Largeham=-8.62%2C-8.97&Art+Vandelay=-1.40%2C-2.33&Mlle+Antechrist=-6.88%2C-6.92&Gyeonghwa=-7.25%2C-6.82&Jodie=-7.50%2C-6.87&Scotsgit=-5.62%2C-4.46&Id82=-4.75%2C-6.92&Tenfold+Maquette=-9.25%2C-7.54&Shadowpanther=-5.88%2C-2.67&Lighthorseman=-4.00%2C-2.31&Her3tik=-7.25%2C-6.05&Deadpandoubter=-8.00%2C-6.56&Szaleniec=-3.00%2C-5.75&Ctrak=-7.88%2C-5.90&Wykked+Wytch=3.20%2C-8.20&Vypernight=-0.88%2C-3.18&Simsim=-8.25%2C-8.15&Murdin=-8.25%2C-8.41&Jesusaur=-1.88%2C-3.69&Major+Tom=-6.75%2C-4.92&Hyperio=-6.88%2C-5.33&Radiation=-3.12%2C-3.85&Haseen=-5.25%2C-7.59&Servo=-4.62%2C-5.03&Tolpuddlemartyr=-8.25%2C-6.00&Mira=-7.50%2C-7.44&Meshakhad=-5.62%2C-2.87&Vene=-9.12%2C-7.28&Randomguy=-7.12%2C-4.92&Ltfred=-7.88%2C-6.67&Verasthebrujah=-10%2C-8.5&The+L=-6.38%2C-5.79&Lexikon=-3.75%2C-1.64&newname=gomer21xx&newec=-5.88&newsoc=-4.92).

Added mine too
Left/Right I'm -7
Up/Down I'm -6.66
