Alt-right: "Trump supporters are all cucks, they don't go far enough and don't call out the Jews. We need to bring them further to the right."

Also Alt-right: "We're not white supremacists, just white nationalists. We'll stop it from going as far as another Holocaust somehow."

BTW, anyone else think this looks edited?

A collection of AOC memes from one Alt-Right comment section. They are obsessed over her.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

It's pretty bad when even Mike Cernovich says this is stupid:

Laughing at Trump, as the libs did, sure stopped him from being POTUS.

Laughing at AOC, as the cons are doing now, sure is hurting her.

Right?

Yeah, there are some on the right who realise that attacking Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is just making her more popular. The rest are pissing themselves at the thought that their donors might have to pay more money in taxes.

I think another factor is that, whatever her faults, she seems to genuinely understand and care about the plight of the economically disadvantaged. They're afraid said people might view her as an alternative to Trump. Since they think she's a bigger threat to them and their backers than Trump, they really don't want that to happen. So they're trying to make her look stupid and ridiculous, which isn't working.

You know, I never saw her as stupid. She does annoy me, but for other reasons. Like she hasn't made the transition from activist to member of the U.S. Congress. That I believe leads to her emotional appeals over facts. Her Green New Deal is evidence of that. She's pushing way too far way to fast, but she's young yet.

No, her socialism in and of itself never bothered me. But, and this is key, I do not trust my government. Not one bit. Not to keep me safe, not to keep me educated, not to keep me healthy, not to stop crime, nothing. I don't think it's tin foil hat malevolence as much as it is incompetence and bureaucratic inertia. I think given the choice between the right thing and the wrong thing, they'll do nothing for 30 years then find some other third thing. That is not who I would willingly cede more responsibility to than absolutely freaking necessary.

To which I would say two things: one, maybe Congress could use some activists, and two, we've got about a decade to address climate change, and it costs more money to repair disaster damage than it would to implement programs to get off polluting energy sources, so there's really no such thing as "too far too fast" here.

No, her socialism in and of itself never bothered me. But, and this is key, I do not trust my government. Not one bit. And yet when you look at basically every other developed democracy, she's a moderate, at best a ho-hum social democrat. Plus, the programs she's proposing to expand are among the most popular ones managed by the US federal government--or do you not intend to go on Social Security and Medicare when you hit retirement age?

Garrison loves drawing AOC almost as much as he loves drawing Trump:
(click to show/hide)

Spoilered because it is in fact massive.

And another AOC cartoon - the funny thing is the cartoonist seems to accept what AOC wants is good but is unrealistic:

You wanna criticize Ebert? That's fine, it's your right, even if you're this harsh. But doing it right after the man died is fucking despicable.

Ok, that's like someone's opinion on Roger Ebert? What the fuck does this have to do with politics or why is it considered a worst political cartoon? It's not even offensive. People criticize people after they died all of the time.

1. Editorial cartoons about celebs are still considered "political". Yeah, it's a little weird when you think about it, but I'm not the one who made the rules.

2. Not offended? That's fine. I never said you should be. But I find it rather offensive because it's harshly criticizing a movie critic, to the point of basically calling him an idiot, less than a week after he died. That was pretty much a slap in the face to anybody grieving his passing. And what did Ebert do to warrant this? Having opinions Rall disagreed with.

Plenty of people got upset when Rall's cartoon was published. Entire essays have been written attacking these six panels. I say this not to say you should agree with me, just to say I'm far from alone in my opinion.

You don't have to be offended. All I'm asking is that you try to understand why people were.

But I'm sure you'll be offended by this:

Anti-authoritarian, anti-extremist, anti-bullshit.
