In all fairness, that was likely an on-the-spot decision made by at the very highest, the owner of that particular store. By all means, fuck whoever made that call. However, I don't see how you can reasonably hold the entire company responsible for one store's actions.

Also, the Snopes article makes sure to point out everything else Starbucks did RIGHT for 9/11, including free coffee for rescue workers and millions of dollars in donations to a relief fund (including $1 million from their own company pocket). I don't think you should boycott a place purely because of one poor decision regarding one incident amongst a sea of positive contributions.

And for Starbucks, I generally recommend no one drinks the over priced, over strong swill. But not for their reasons.
