I love the idea of “Oh, we can free ourselves from these annoying checks and balances just by passing a law that says our other laws are immune from them.” I don’t think that is gonna fly.

I almost want Ron Paul to get elected, just to see the Supreme Court bitchslap him down.

I'm sure that's what part of his campaign is counting on.

To be fair, yeah Obama has created some jobs, but the economy is still in the toilet and unemployment is still high, so there are people losing as many jobs as there are jobs being made. But that's because Republicans would rather spend time going after women's vaginas than do something more productive like helping the economy get back on track, and help in creating jobs.

And it wasn't a speech.  It was a private aside to another person, and in context, clearly referred to legislation dealing with the internet.
