If you watch Bill Maher, he sent Alexandra Pelosi (daughter of Nancy) to Mississippi to interview people. Maher is quick to point out that Pelosi claimed she did not cherry pick her interviewees, although with the people she found, I found it real hard to believe.
Is Mississippi like this at all? The quotes seem like complete liberal stereotypes of conservative rednecks.

Judging from the family that I still have there, this video is absolutely accurate. My most liberal relative (claims to be an independent) hates Obama but cannot articulate exactly why (she also refuses to use the n word in public, so draw your own correlation). The rest of them unabashedly refer to me as a Yankee (I'm from the midwest) and the ex-husband of one of them actually told me (when I was about 15) that if I kept bringing my liberal views down there, he was going to change my mind...while he was playing with a rope...
Far as I am concerned, a catastrophe that wiped out the majority of that state's residents would raise the average IQ by quite a bit.

It's telling that the poorest state is the most conservative. Like that one man said, "Voting conservative has not worked, but it could." That is a hell of a mindset.

I saw it, and the more I watch stuff like this, the more I think we should havef just left the South alone, and never even bother to fight the civil war.

You know I have a friend that uses the term "Mulatto", she's not a racist or anything, she's just weird and thinks by using the term makes her seem smart, because it's the correct term.

Okay I hate Bill Maher for his anti islam and vaccines stances but I agree with him on this one. How can anyone in this day and age be proud birthers?

Cuz it's true. I'd like to think that I and Shane and several others here are proof of that. Though I can't speak personally for MS, since I've never been there long enough to make any sort of inferences.
