My introduction to the Internet was primarily through InvisionFree forums.  Seems like so long ago, but it hasn't even been a decade...

Well, now the ants won’t stop swarming the bathroom counter, even when there is nothing on it. It is quite obvious that there is a nest between the counter and wall.

Also, I think I might have the wrong kind of traps. They aren’t doing much. And after a bit of research, I realize that these ants just might be pharaoh ants, which the traps are specifically labeled as not working on. Oy.

At the suggestion of my apartment building’s property manager, I got a different brand of ant trap. And, man, are they ever swarming over the one I put closest to their nest. And it’s only been an hour.

Well, the new baits seem to work.

Last night, when I went to bed, there were still long lines of ants dutifully taking the bait back to the nest. This morning, they’re gone, and I have only found a few random lone ants far from where all the action was.
