Okay, WHY THE FUCK IS THIS THREAD CALLED "Thread Killer?"  Seriously,  I don't fucking get it.  Did this thread get split from another thread or something?  Seriously, the OP is nothing more than a single word!

Cough.

Can anybody tell me?  Seriously.  I don't get it.  Is this supposed to be like the "say totally fucking random shit" thread, or something?

My friend's blog.  Check it out!

I blame/credit The Doctor with inspiring my name change.

It all started back on the now non-existent Yahweh forum. however, the Proboards (found hyuh) version has the same opening post as the original. It was kept alive for the sake of irony at first and from there evolved into what it is today. It was also the first ever megathread of FSTDT. There was no Things That Annoy You or Anything Good Happen Today thread back in those days.

The OP in the original "Thread Killer?" was a poster asking if anyone else ever felt like a thread killer, ie, you post something in that thread and all discussion ceases, and the thread fades away and dies. The irony of it was that the Thread Killer thread never died.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

Except for that time a bug in the forum code ate the original Thread Killer.

Yeah but then a new Thread Killer rose in it's place and everyone was happy.

True. This is the 4th or so incarnation of TK, killed at various occasions by software bugs and forum moves. Still, it has not yet died a natural death.

That's nothing, I had it killed for a week or two. But someone will always bump it, and thread killer lives on.

This is the third. The eaten threads were eventually brought back, Thread Killer included.

Though I guess this is the 4th if you count the replacement that was active in the few days the original was gone.

It's fascinating watching you old-timers talk about the old boards. I feel like we should have a site historian to record the memories.

Yep. My t-shirts all have holes in them, too. Grey Africans do it just to get a rise out of you.  ;D
