Did Nixon intentionally sabotage Vietnam peace talks?

Supposedly, evidence has come up in the presidential tapes of Lyndon Johnson that Nixon may have knowingly sabotaged the Vietnam War to win election to the presidency, and possibly re-election as well. I hope not. I honestly hope that isn't the case, but given Nixon's history, I can't put it past him.

I'll put it this way, even McNamara has a book out there saying "we fucked up" in a few thousand more words than that. But does insist that at least the military leaders thought they were acting against a concerted soviet push(domino theory bullshit and all), rather than the nationalist revolutions they were actually dealing with. You know, one of the guys who's absolutely hated for his involvement in the war.

I would in no way be surprised if more political motivations were behind why the war didn't end earlier than it did.

Given his track record, there's nothing that surprises me about Nixon.

I am tempted to post that pic of some guy pissing on Nixon’s grave, but I know better.

Despite knowing about indoctrination I thought it was a good idea to put a human Reaper near my office. Now I am a sentient husk :(.

I actually didn't think this was news. I guess I may have heard rumblings of it some time in the past and thought it was more concrete and well known.

Every time Nixon's name pops up, I'm reminded of H.S. Thompson's obituary of the bastard. Speaking kindly of the dead (fuck that noise edition)
