I like how they're trying to send a nice message to children but it ends up just coming across as really fucking creepy. You could switch out Jehovah's name with The Dog and it would still have the same creepy message.

It would be fun to have the kid say, "Mom, I really like this toy. Fork Jehovah."

(I didn't watch it with audio on due to fear.) That bear looks like Gandalf skinned a care bear and is wearing it's skin.

If you look at it logically, cannibalism has great potential to simultaneously solve our overpopulation and food shortage problems.

Welp, that's not manipulative and abusive at all.

Newsflash, mother of the year: that toy isn't magical, it's a piece of plastic. Unless in the fictional universe of this cartoon magic is real and a plastic toy that represents a (meta-)fictional wizard becomes magical by virtue of that alone. Jehova's Witnesses inhabit a strange reality.

I'm assuming it's the Jehova's Witnesses based on the whole "Jehova" thing and the suspiciously Awake/Watchtower-esque drawing of Adam and Eve.

Yes, I can recognise the drawing style of the Jehova's Witnesses magazines at a glance. I'm not sure how that happened either.

Why is it that it seems any time Jehovah's Witnesses do anything, it's insane? I find it even weirder because I know one in real life and she doesn't seem to match up with them at all. All her friends are atheists, her best friend's an atheist lesbian, her other close friends are mostly bisexuals, she's gotten drunk before, and her shipping tends to be gay pairings (Rory/The Doctor and John/Sherlock are her biggest). It just always confuses me how they all seem crazy in the world at large, but she seems rather normal.

The world pays more attention to the crazy ones than the not-so-crazy ones.

Good point. I guess when I see a tinier religion acting crazy, I don't figure that it's only a small segment of that small group because it's already smaller.

I'm going to quote Community (Donald Glover grew up Jehovah's Witness, so he plays his character's religion fairly accurate.):

"Yeah, but we don't celebrate birthdays or Christmas and we can't drink. But it helps."

Meh, seems a little fundie, but I've seen much worse.

Yeah, I don't know if she celebrates hers, but she certainly does for other people's, gave gifts to friends around Christmas and has been drunk. The running gag is she sucks at being a Jehovah's Witness.

I'm gonna take a guess and say she only still calls herself a JW to avoid getting disowned by her family.
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

I'm not sure how what to make of this.  Literally believing in magic is mind-blowing enough, but the brainwashing manipulation just...wow.
