The TAS Thread
« on: January 21, 2013, 03:56:11 pm »
So I was just thinking about a good topic to start, and then it hit me:  There's no discussion thread to discuss tool-assisted speedruns/superplays.  I'm not sure if there's many people interested in that stuff around here, but I know I find the stuff fascinating.  It's like I stated in a thread about Pokemon Yellow, TASes are a fucking science.  The amount of knowledge and dedication needed to make a good TAS is astonishing.  The truly standout runs do things that are either difficult or virtually impossible in real time, making them faster than even the most skilled human could think to do.

So yeah.  This is a thread dedicated to discussion of TAS videos.  I think my favorite is the latest Ocarina of Time run.
