Anyhoo, my list:
1) Minecraft. The vanilla game gets old pretty quickly, but assuming I can download mods (which I damn well should, seeing as DLC is kosher) it'll give me thousands of hours of enjoyment.
2) X3: Reunion. The vanilla game alone is freaking massive and the mods available add countless more.
3) X3: Terran Conflict. Not sure if it should count as a separate game, seeing as it's more of a stand alone add on to Reunion, but just to be safe I'll consider it separate. It's just as fucking massive and full of tasty, tasty mods.
4) Skyrim: Granted, I'm banking on future DLC being good and maybe a super-mod or two in the future (kind of like Oblivion's Nehrim mod). Again, countless hours of fun.
5) Heroes of Might and Magic III. Very deep turn based strategy which still has enough of an active multiplayer scene to scratch that itch, in the off chance I require it.
6) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It's a classic, it scratches my sandbox itch and of course, mods and multiplayer.
7) Sim City 4. Extremely solid city builder with a still active modding scene.
8) Train Simulator 2012. For that hardcore simulation itch. Also, there's enough DLC for that game to last as many years as I need, and then some.
9) The Witcher. for a deeper role playing game than Skyrim with the added bonus of titties. Also, made by CD Projekt, a fucking awesome developer.
10) The Witcher 2, because I can't have the first game without its sequel.
