Beat Dead Space 2 for the third time, though this time with 3 fully-upgraded weapons.  The only thing better than obliterating everything in my path was killing the ubermorph that constantly regenerates.  After he made my life hell the last playthrough, and after he chased me through the previous level, I finally tricked him into getting right near a huge fan.  I then hit him with Stasis and shot him right into the fan, yelling, "Trying growing back now!"  Great feeling when you kill something that's normally unkillable.

New IP doesn't mean they won't be using D&D rules.  There's a difference between using a D&D setting, and the D&D ruleset.

I need to find where I read it, but I'm pretty sure they're not using D&D rules because they've said they're horrendously unbalanced.
If you find it let me know, I'd be backing the project if it isn't using the D&D rules.

Take a lookse at what I just found. Starship Corporation. Basically, it's a big fuckoff spaceship building and management sim, or as I like to call it, Faster Than Light on steroids (at least that's how it looks thus far). I have to say, despite all the pretentious 8-bit shovelware, indie developers are doing some amazing things in the sci-fi genre.

I'm a fan of Shores of Hazeron which allows you to build a civilization from nothing to sending rockets into space, allowing you to build actual spaceships(with blueprints that you make for it) from minerals on other planets, build some warp drive shit and check out neighboring solar systems(you can do this without it but it will take hours before you reach anything outside your solar system).

Only downsides are that the game was started like a decade ago so the graphics are rather basic. And sometimes horrible lag.

Here's a video of a person having reached the stage of basic rockets and blasting off to the moon:

I would love to try out Hazeron should I ever have a PC that wouldn't melt at the mere thought of it. Though it does look like it suffers from the Spore problem of spreading itself way too thin. Personally, I'd rather have a dedicated spaceship building and combat sim.

Hmm, Borderlands 2 requires Steam activation. This does not bode well, but it seems good so far.

Has some nice integration features from what I'm seeing. Lets you invite people right off your steam list.

I liked that, but I hate it being on Steam. One has to be online to get into offline mode, and all the advertising crap.

The game is pretty bloody good, but the UI isn't as good as the first game, though maybe it's just because I'm used to it.

By the way, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is currently 60% on GOG.com, bringing it down to $7.99. If you don't have it already and you like management sims, then definitely pick it up. It's most definitely the best in its genre by a huge margin.

I'm finding the separate menus a bit jarring as well, but should I figure out the hot keys again(been ages since i played an FPS like this) it should be manageable.

I love RCT 3, though for some reason, people think my coasters are a little too extreme to watch.  Just because one has an 800 foot drop whilte another has over 40 inversions . . .

I also love giving drinks away for free but charging $6 for the bathroom.

I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. My only major complaints so far is that micro-managing your employees is a pain in the ass and the interface is a lot more cryptic than its predecessors, but other than that, it's a seriously awesome game.

I especially love sandbox mode, because the ride selection is fantastic, and you can create a diverse, kickass park with sections for every type of guest. I have the water park expansion pack, and that's awesome as well. It's fun to build custom water slides. Man, do the lines get long for those.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

I preordered Pokemon Black 2.  It sounds like fun, and the new Pokestar studios sounds like a pokemon version of The Movies.
