That's right, Fell . . . at a diagonal angle . . . at high speeds . . . with gravity sending it into my TV stand.  Fell.

Them quirky gravity wells, always screwing up our video game equipment through no fault of our own.

Browsing the Steam Summer Sale, I noticed that Might and Magic Heroes V (with all expansions) is 33% off. MMH VI is also 33% off. I played the demo for VI (which is not the tutorial, but farther into the campaign, which made me feel better about how bad I was doing), but there isn't a demo for V.

So... How do they compare? Should I get V before VI? (I'm kind of inclined to, since V and the expansions is $20 cheaper than VI alone.)

I've never heard of this Might and Magic Heroes of which you speak. However, on the off chance that you're referring to Heroes of Might and Magic, I'll just say I've only played II and III so I can't be of much help to you. Dreadfully sorry about that.

Borderlands 2. Less than three months. I'll probably buy it a/two week/s after release.

Just bought the Thief Collection for less than 7 bucks.

All three games.

What have I gotten myself into?

I must say, death matches in The Ship are broken as fuck. It seems who wins depends entirely on who finds a blunderbuss or tommy gun first (seeing as there's infinite ammo in death match mode). I found one of the former and then spent the rest of the match gunning down hordes of other players like they were nothing. Even the horrible frame rate I was getting during the more intense moments still didn't help any of the poor melee weapon wielding sods.

It does make for nice trolling opportunities though. Walk up to someone who's looking a container, wait for them to turn around and BOOM! Handful of buckshot to the face!

I quite enjoy Heroes V,  but I haven't played any of VI so I can't compare. I hear Heroes VI has some technical issues so it might be better to get the fifth game as it benefits from several years of patches and expansions behind it.

But dude, the pre-order bonuses! GOLD GUNS! ... ok, I just want an FPS I'll actually enjoy again. But still.

Well, since it was on the Daily Sale special on Steam, I bought Amnesia. Now, back to screwing with monsters.

EDIT: Spoke a bit too soon. Seems that for some reason the game is insisting that my drivers are out of date even though I just updated them. Not terribly upset since it was only $5.

On another note, just got a pre-order of the new Kingdom Hearts game.

One of my best friends just got me into Borderlands.  Not very far through it yet, but I like it so far.

Personally, I can't wait for Super Mario Galaxy. It's one of the reasons I got a Wii.

After about close to 30 hours of gameplay I can heartily recommend Dragon's Dogma, with a combat system similar to Dark Souls and the open-world gameplay like other RPG's, it's just a barrel of fun. Taking down a massive monster by climbing up on it and ripping it apart never stops being satisfying.
