For those of you who don't know,
Akinator is a 20 questions style person guessing game with an infuriating habit of winning. It's surprisingly addicting. In the past, I've beaten it, taught it people, and typically gotten my ass kicked no matter what character or person I've tried. Today, it seems even more smug than usual, having been fielding all the right questions way before it could possibly have narrowed it down, and after getting one wrong (Twiggy Ramirez), it spent the next five smugly making it quite clear it had it now. It got Manson in 14 questions, Till Lindemann in 20 (with many of them being intentionally pointless, and the last two, asking if he is German and then if the character has "a great affinity for fire", being mocking) and Richard Z. Kruspe in 18 (with it being right on the money half-way through), and John 5 in 25. On the bright side, it took 48 to get Durandal (from Marathon), Otep Shamaya in 68, with it only figuring it out at 66 by asking if the character is a lesbian, Frank "I've covered wars, ya know" West in 32 and Lucy/Nyu from Elfen Lied in 23. So, share your tales of trying to beat the thing, or just who it guesses in general.
