I'm several years behind the times and I just started playing Fallout New Vegas. I kinda like paying $20some to have the bugs gone and all the DLC. Any suggestions on missions that are must dos and those that suck and are worth skipping?

By the way, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is currently 60% on GOG.com, bringing it down to $7.99. If you don't have it already and you like management sims, then definitely pick it up. It's most definitely the best in its genre by a huge margin.

^ This. Enjoyed that game so immensely. Also, D/L the PyroMikkel fireworks pack. Ton of new effects, about 90% of which are more realistic than the default selection.

Don't do anything for the Legion.  They're douche bags.  Hell everyone but you is a douche and doesn't deserve any of your time.  And unlike Skyrim, YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORK FOR ANYONE!  You can go out and just take over New Vegas by yourself, it's great!

Ironbite-and there are bugs...it's a Bethesda game.

It's a Bethesda and Obsidian game, I should rephrase, the game destroying bugs have been worked out.

And yeah, I noticed that your actions have varying effects between the factions. Helping one tends to get others to dislike you.

The Legion questline can be fun if you don't mind being a jerk. I made one character specifically to do those quests, and made her as evil as possible.

I find "Come Fly With Me" to be rather touching (if you take the good option).

I made a female character who slept with, then killed Benny.
I only played the first DLC Dead Money,  and found it to be Nintendo Hard

How you help or don't help every character changes their ending, do a lot of side quests.

I'm considering weather or not to drop the $9.99 and buy Faster Than Light or save up and finally shut up my fucking cousin and get Saints Row Three.

Dead Money is brutal, but the potential payoff is really nice. I liked that there were a lot of stat/skill checks for various non-quest stuff, like understanding Christine. Honest Hearts was beautiful and had a rather nice and basically logical moral choice at the end as well as lots of great stuff to find (like the Survivalist stories), but it felt a bit aimless. I've done a bit of Old World Blues, which appears to be hard as balls - harder than Dead Money - and the sense I get from Lonesome Road is that it'll be more of the same. It's cool that they all have references to each other, though. It gives you the sense there are other wanderers out there doing stuff.

From what I've found, Old World Blues and Lonesome road connect directly to the main story pretty seamlessly.  Dead Money and Honest Hearts...eh.

Ironbite-but Lonesome Road is so connected it's not even funny.

Lonesome Road seems to be very hard, in my opinion.  Dead Money is hard because of all the limitations (Lose all your gear, explosive collar 'round your neck, enemies that are hard to kill, deadly gas), but Lonesome road is just bloody hard, even though it allows you to pack everything.  I was decked out in Power Armour, several different top of the line weapons, enough ammo to shoot up New Vegas, and stimpacks galore.   By the end of the game, I was scrounging for bullets, eating radiated Mac 'N Cheese for sustenance,  all while being hunted by a marked man with a stealth boy.   Oh god...it was fun.

Although, the tunnellers.... *shudder*.  I thought Cazadores and Deathclaws were scary.  Those guys have nothing on the Tunnellers.

Stealth is your friend in lonesome road.

Went through it with a riot shotgun and desert ranger armor, with the odd help from a rocket launcher(and at one point a fatboy). Was a blast.

That said, I thought old world blues wasn't that bad, you just need something with a bit of AP to it, an EMP weapon, or a couple of those anti-robot perks. Shit ton of loot though, never have money trouble after that place.

I think I'm starting to fall in love with RedPower, in Technic Minecraft.  Unlike the BuildCraft pipes, if RedPower pipes can't send anything into a connected inventory, even if a pulse is sent to a filter to pull things out of a chest, it won't do it.  If any excess does happen to pop up, its just sent back down the system, and right back into the chest from whence it came.

No need for obsidian pipes, BuildCraft engines, or any complex retrieval systems, since the filters work off simple redstone pulses, which you can do easily with a timer and some red alloy wire.  No muss, no fuss...lovely, and efficient.  Just how I like my machines.

[ETA]
My god, I think I've created not one, but two monsters.  My first monster?  A behemothic BuildCraft energy generator that works off 64 redstone and 64 steam engines, the latter of which are fueled by an endless supply of charcoal (4x less EMC than regular coal) distributed by a RedPower pneumatic tube system.

My second monster?  You know how, with my behemoth BuildCraft generator, I effectively have a massive, endless supply of BuildCraft energy?  I've done the same with IndustrialCraft, using a little trick I learned by reading the Technic wiki comments that allows me to create endless amounts of lava.  FOR FREE. (Minus parts and labor, of course)

Oh, and how much can this generate?  Well, it may not look like much, but my tanks were about...15% full before I made two of these wee buggers.  A few Minecraft days later, I now have THIS.

Yeah.  I...actually forget exactly how high those towers of tanks are, but there's a dozen per row.  My guess?  They're about 12 blocks high, so that's...12x4x12 = 576 tanks.  With each storing 16 cubic meters of lava, that brings me to a maximum of 9,276 cubic meters of lava, which I'm nearly at.

Sooo...yeah.  Effective, efficient, and endless.  I dunno bout you guys, but I'm pretty damn proud of myself, right now.

This actually looks absurdly fun. I love engineery things!

Borderlands 2 is a bit harder than number 1, the AI is smarter and guns and vehicles are harder to use. It does make for a different, and arguably better, experience.
