Today in 1959, Nixon and Khrushchev have a "kitchen debate" over communism and capitalism in a model kitchen set up for the fair. I wonder what Julia Child put in there food maybe a pince of controversy.

July 25th, 1603: James VI of Scotland is crowned king of England (James I of England), bringing the Kingdom of England and Kingdom of Scotland into personal union.

Political union would occur in 1707.

The bitching has occurred ever since, and is unlikely to ever stop.

1967, Che Guevara is captured in Bolivia. In a flagrant disregard of international laws regarding cruel and unusual punishments, he is sentenced to having his face used by capitalists to sell sweatshop-produced shirts to stupid hipsters and faux-leftist rich suburban kids.
