I'd trust them to be free again in the same way I would trust Sideshow Bob (the Aurora shooter) to be free again. I wouldn't trust them unless it was clear they wouldn't harm squat ever again. To me, it would be life in prison without any shot of parole.

A young woman and her accomplices...you know, this sounds a lot like one particular Dresden Files book scenario. Except there, the "young woman" is a horrifying necromancer named Capiocorpus/Corpsetaker, and bodyswitching is involved.

The cops better watch that woman.

I hate to be that guy but this sounds made up. I know it's been reported by some of the more reputable sources, and I don't doubt there are people out there who are fucked up enough to do something like this, but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on it's seting of my bullshit detector.

I think it just sounds far too much like those news stories that turn out to have been fake but still get reported by said reputable sources. Like the story about the dentist who supposedly removed all her husband's teeth for cheating on her that turned out to be bollocks. Those sorts of stories.

I don't think so. The story about the scorned dentist was a small piece with no corroborating evidence accompanying it. This is accompanied by mugshots and interviews, among other information regarding the case. Unless this is an extremely elaborate hoax involving large amounts of people (along the lines of the "Sandy Hook was faked!" conspiracy), this is a very real thing.

That does indeed make it seem a hell of a lot more likely to be real.
