http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/mcconnell-cornyn-vote-for-clean-debt-limit-bill
Surprised no one's posted this yet. The Teabaggers got walked on earlier when the Majority leader basically put up a clean debt limit bill before the house and got it passed with lots of help from the Democrats. In the Senate, Cruz tried to filibuster, but got stomped when a number of Republicans, including Senators McConnell and Cornyn, passed the cloture vote and then voted against the bill. It passed 55-43 more or less along party lines.
Those are some pretty deep cracks in the Republican party line. Could be that the Republican leadership can no longer control their own creation.
-
So much for unity.
-
I'm glad someone finally got Cruz to shut up.
-
Now lets hear some paranoid Teabaggers fretting about how the main Republican Party "betrayed" the Tea Party.
-
Nobody had the stomach to listen to him read Dr. Seuss again.
-
The GOP is looking at the upcoming mid term elections and they're scared shitless. This way, they can point to this and say how much they love the country or some bullshit.
Ironbite-but I'm sure they'll fuck something up and send their numbers back down the toilet
-
That, or Ted Carnival Cruz will wag his mouth, and too many people will defend him.
-
So how do you think this will fare in the Senate?
-
KZN02: It already passed. Which means we don't have to worry about another government shutdown anytime soon,.
-
Hopefully, but who knows what will happen, but given the infighting in the Republican party, one hopes they'll be too busy with that to do anything underhanded.
-
Don't blame me, I voted for
Kodos Paul Sadler. And a handful of even Republicans from my state thought he was a rube. The fact that he even had enough supporters is nothing short but incomprehensible.
Should I mention he is also anti-LGBT and is teaming up with some other rube in Senate to reinstall a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in much of the United States? And anti-choice, as Planned Parenthood is on his big list of organizations he wants to abolish?

The fucknugget didn't shut up. He's just to busy doing this.
