Viking ship discovered in Tennessee!?

I do not know if this is a joke or otherwise fake but it is an interesting article. I suppose there will be a follow up story if this is verified.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

It's a well-documented fact that Vikings could sail up rivers.  It seems fairly plausible to me.

It's possible.  There's a mountain near where I live called Fort Mountain that has some ruins atop it that some theorize could have been built by Celts or Vikings instead of the native peoples.

Hey, I used to live in that area!

It's already been theorized that the Vikings made it as far south as North Carolina. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they managed to get around Florida and travel up the Mississippi, or if there was some river since dried up and eroded away that would have allowed them to access Tennessee from the Atlantic.

If you look at it logically, cannibalism has great potential to simultaneously solve our overpopulation and food shortage problems.

Norway to Tennessee?  A day at the office for those guys.
I am an old man, and I've seen many problems, most of which never happened.

Dangit. I knew I had a reason to be skeptical.

I guess I should have checked the other stories on that site as well...

But if this site is just an Onion copy then that means that the last german WW2 prisoner still hasn't been released either!!!  :o http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/russia-last-ww2-german-prisoner-finally-released-from-gulag/

Here's World News Daily Report's disclaimer page: http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/disclaimer/

Still, when it was in print, as well as Weekly World News, I knew of people who actually thought all the articles were 100% true.

Especially with Weekly World News, a tabloid even wackier than World News Daily Report.  Some people actually believed Bat Boy exists.

Weekly World News is so obviously fake that I weep for anyone who believes in the crap they talk about.
