my most recent phone cost $30 (as in, a one-time fee, and I can use it for over 200 more days before having to buy a small bunch of minutes to extend my time by several months.) and can take pictures.

Course the legislative back-and-forth is also Obama's fault. He's head of the party that had 60 senators and the House.

IIRC, there were not 60 Democratic Senators, as the majority was not fillibuster-proof.

Obama did indeed have 60 senators, right up until he let a porn start beat Kennedy's corpse in early 2010. Two years of free legislation. Even after 2010, a competent party should have been able to bully their opponents into allowing the government to govern.

The party's name is the Democratic Party. It has been since 1830. Please spell correctly.

What are you using? I'm getting tired of using a 6 year old phone and playing between $65 and $90 a month for it.

That is an ugly shirt, and it's crime that costs $900, let alone it even exists in the first place.

I'll like to know how much they know the cellphone in question cost, that it's even a "Blackberry" to begin with it, it could be one of those tracfones, most cellphones no matter how cheap they are have the ability to take a photo nowadays.

Also how do they know the person taking the photo is homeless and not just someone there to take a picture?

So, if I spend $500 on a phone, that makes me immune from experiencing any sort of financial disaster that leaves me with nothing but my $500 phone and the clothes on my back?

If I am poor and have trouble affording food, that prevents me from winning a phone or borrowing one belonging to a friend?

You can't get a job without a phone number.

I wonder if these Rand worshipers ever realized that.

Well, I had better go out and get me a $500 phone then. Yay, financial security!

Yeah, a landline would be a bit more difficult for a homeless person to obtain, wouldn’t it?

Three words:

Blue Dog Democrats.

Yeah, supposedly two years of free legislation... bogged down by power hungry "economic conservative" democrats who stood with the republicans multiple times to block legislation. Despite Obama apparently having a majoraty, every attempt at something truely liberal got blocked in the Senate somehow.

Why? Obama was an idiot who wanted to "change politics" and not bully and strong arm. People complain about lock-step politics, and when someone tries not to use them, they get criticized and punished for it.

Actually it looks just like my trac phone, which costs 20 bucks if you time  the sale at walgreens right.

not to mention, there are programs to get the homeless cell phones so they can get jobs and stay connected to family.

Apparently it's hard to have a land line when you, you know, lack a house to put it in.

http://www.minnpost.com/community-sketchbook/2010/06/cell-phones-homeless-helping-them-connect-jobs-homes

but I guess now cons think we have a problem with homeless shelter fraud and will want people to show IDs before they get fed.

Blue Dog Democrats.

The last word is Democrat. Even they would not so snub the party as to join a partisan fillibuster of an election promise. Okay, so you've got past the fillibuster, now you need 50 senators and the VP. The Republicans and their stooges can vote against all they want, won't matter.

This. I'd also suggest that he's a fairly extreme conservative.
