I want to go in, point at them, and scream "SOCIALIST!" over and over again until I'm escorted out by police.
Mockery of ideas you don't comprehend or understand is the surest mark of unintelligence.

Me: I hate Obama.
Them: Have a free cupcake.
Me: I lied.

Me: Very little. I hate the Tea Party a lot more.
That said, I've stopped trying to anticipate what people around here want a while ago, I've found it makes things smoother.

Just today I heard someone say we should kill all the "damn Arabs" and it's all their fault, and he was serious. Him and the "south will rise again" guy were going on about how awesome the army was, how the rangers are like the ODSTs from Halo, and how good the guy that killed the afghan civilians was. He said the civilians DESERVED it and we should give the guy a medal and kill MORE civilians. I tryed arguing but it was an exercise in futility. This was in school and the teacher didn't say a thing about it. The guy is the biggest jock in the school and a complete douche. I would beat the shit out of him if I could win, but I probibly wouldn't and would be hated by everyone.

The Rangers are pretty goddamned awesome, if you ask me. It's not like I have any bias or anything. ;)

As far as Halo comparisons....War is not a video game. Civillians don't deserve to die simply for being born in a hostile country... ::sigh:: I saw all too many ground grunts with this mentality. Fortunately, there are many rational folks as well..

I don't think this one's that that bad.
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

It's the most pernicious lie about the American government- it is debt-constrained and finding itself unable to borrow. In reality, the US government has never had cheaper borrowing costs. It's about as far from foreclosed as possible.

Would this count?

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

Wait...volunteering for a non-profit organization?  Since when?  I've done work (not volunteer work, I got paid) for a non-profit on a semi-annual basis for years, and I've never been asked once for my ID.

I have never been asked for my ID to use my credit card. Ever. Or buying tickets to an amusement park. That one is odd.

Do you need an ID to obtain a credit card?

They can ask for your ID if you want to get certain ticket prices.

So you need an ID to be an Atheist now? We're a non-prophet organization :D. I was never asked for my ID.

You don’t need an ID to drive. You need to be licensed, and the card that proves you are licensed just so happens to be able to act as an ID. Same thing with a library card.

Half the crap on there doesn’t even appear to be legal ID requirements. They mostly seem to be at the option of whatever party is providing the required service. For instance, the only time I have ever been required to show ID when writing a check is when writing a check in a store while out-of-state. And that has always been the choice of the store-management.

It's also missing the whole point of the racist id-checking debate. Sure checking the ID of every single person who comes to vote isn't racist, but the way it actually works, where non-whites are checked disproportionately is racist.
Oh look it's me.
