I've spent some time formulating an advertisement that will be less offensive to our Christian colleagues.

Instead of hominid evolution, it will feature a man, crucified, straining against the nails to grab a Dr. Pepper can just out of reach. It will be captioned "dying of thirst?"

Because this features Jesus, it should calm this storm by giving everyone something to enjoy.

DUDE.  Photoshop this.  Now.  That is too brilliantly awesomelarious.

I would, but my Photoshop skills are...well, non-existent.

I might be able to whip up something simple on Powerpoint.

I must admit, that's actually a good marketing idea. I think it would make a pretty cool advert, however I feel that you would still have the Christians get all up in arms about it.

I must say, people get worked up about the most random and useless crap these days. There are so many other more important things to throw a hissy fit about.

I think the real question here is how the fuck is a religious flame war on Facebook actually newsworthy?!
Have you seen the shit that counts for news lately?
But really, a goddamn Facebook argument?! That has to be a new low.

In what way can one 'win' a Facebook argument?
That said, I've stopped trying to anticipate what people around here want a while ago, I've found it makes things smoother.
For I was an hungred, and ye told me to pull myself up by my bootstraps: I was thirsty, and ye demanded payment for the privilege of thine urine: I was a stranger, and ye deported me: naked, and ye arrested me for indecency.

I think there might be something to the Republican talking point that we have it too easy in America, if this is the sort of crap people get upset about.
