I seem to remember the going sentiment being rather different ten years ago.

I think the point the guy's trying to make is that if liberals said "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" when the other side was in office, they don't have much of a leg to stand on when their guy is in office and the other side wants to bitch. Mind you, it completely ignore that the reverse is true...but he has a point.

Maybe it is just ‘cause I don’t pay as much attention to the news, but I really haven’t seen very many “United We Stand” type slogans coming from the Democrats. Sure, they might insult Republicans’ intelligence and call out their barely-concealed racism, but for the most part they still let them bitch and moan and otherwise control the rhetoric.

She is technically right though. Affirmative Action, as it currently works (because it was sabotaged to be that way), benefits white people much more than it does people of color. So she is right but she doesn't know why she's right.

I lost the original article but I'm scouring google scholars for it. Generally speaking, the group of people that benefits the most from Affirmative Action is white women.
