I think there's legit reason to be optimistic, since the current head of the Transitional Military Council doesn't seem so bad.

Hope they change their minds about extraditing al-Bashir, though.

I don't believe any military leader who lead a coup is "that bad".

Ironbite-often times, they're the worst.

al-Bashir actually rose to power in a coup.  Time will tell if this is an improvement, but al-Bashir was wanted for crimes against humanity.  Not to mention the armed militia he let steamroll over the non-Arabs in his country...
